Winter Garden

This week I pulled out my garden. The tomatoes, squash and zucchini produced very well this year.  I only planted one of my garden boxes for the fall. I planted lettuce, carrots and kale. I have never planted a winter garden so we will see how it does.

I also wanted to find a way to keep some herbs going, even if it is getting colder outside. I took some cuttings and brought the herbs inside and put them into mason jars. I hope they will produce roots so that I can transplant them.

Moose, Tank and Ella

We have been very busy around here. Over the past few weeks we have been waiting for the arrival of our calves. Tank was born first and is very feisty. Ella was born last Saturday. She is small and shy. The last calf was Moose. His name describes him completely. It is fun to watch them grow and interact with each other.

The calves love our dog Sadie

Family Sign

I had a week off from school for Fall Break. It has been wonderful. I have had time to catch up on projects around the house. My living room wall had been feeling blank. I had a stack of barn wood and wanted a cute way to display it on my wall. I picked out a piece and cleaned it up. I then used my cricut to cut out a stencil to spell "family". I had some green paint left over from a project I used to paint family onto the board. I used our electric brander to put our brand on it as well. Once it dried I hung it up on the wall. I had two pictures that were given to us and hung them up next to the picture.
